BRAND NEW We debut our Reserve A Table limited appointment tasting for starting this weekend! We Believe July Update

In May, we published our philosophy regarding safely operating a business during a pandemic. I attach it again and although we have reopened at about 25% capacity, as I reread my words, I feel an update today is necessary as we enter our 15th week adapting to the evolving problems caused by this virus. Although we have expanded our tasting room to singular indoor tables by reservation and hope to continue if not expand that seating, we realize that reality might be in fact reversed if the confirmed numbers continue to rise in Michigan and in the Leelanau/Grand Traverse region. We thank all our customers for respecting our rules of wearing a mask, waiting their turn when we are busy and being patient with all our slower processes. Our outdoor seating and weather on the patio has been a true highlight of a rather dismal season and we are grateful for nature's cooperation! We look forward to confirmation of an expanded outdoor service permit for picnic table style seating so we can utilize the entire great meadow vineyard space and allow everyone to breathe easier while enjoying our great wine in the lovely outdoor space attached to our tasting room. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the online orders from our MidWeek and Weekend Case Specials that help to float us through these treacherous waters. We continue our donations to United Way for Southeastern Michigan as they continue to be desperately needed. Thank you for helping us do this. Until, more news, take care, be safe and vigilant and cheers from all at Laurentide.

We Believe July Update

Friday, May 22, 2020

We are very happy to announce Laurentide is reopening our tasting room as per Executive Order 2020-91 starting this Friday, May 22 12-5! Visit us Thursdays-Mondays 12-5 pm until further notice. We welcome you back to our tasting room following our SAFETY 1ST POLICIES and SALES 3 WAYS:

Our maximum occupancy will be 25% capacity and will be controlled at entry. Masks are required to be worn except if seated at outdoor patio tables. We are allowing bottle sales for consumption on the patio outside. We are not pouring tastings or wine by the glass. We will accept credit cards only. No signatures are required to minimize contact. We reserve the right to refuse service for safety violations. Our policies and procedures will be posted and updated.

1. CLICK AND PICKUP NOW- prepaid orders available for scheduled curbside pickup or parking lot delivery.

2. Walk in/take out wine sales to go.

3. Bottle sales for outside patio tables only.

Thank you so very much for your patronage and patience as we adapt our tasting room to the new reality. This is a first step in a long road. We are optimistic that if we ALL cooperate, we can expand operations and will adapt to a higher quality of service than ever before. We anticipate future appointment tasting, flights, small plates, expanded days/hours and more when we are confident of our ability to execute safely.

Cheers! Susan and Bill Braymer

Sips and Soups Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail

Stand out locations included Laurentide Winery with their Jalapeño Popper Soup paired with Emergence White 2017. The soup was creamy and thick with a wonderful kick of spice that was just enough. Their signature, double gold winning Emergence White wine was also used for their Fall in Friday’s event’s Savory Sweet Potato Soup with Maple Pecan Crumbles, demonstrating its brilliance in cooking as well as drinking.

Laurentide Winery – Sip and Supper – Lake Leelanau

By Amanda Renkiewicz / Photos by Laurentide The ambiance was nothing less than magical: a corner fireplace lit up with merry flames, blissful music resonating throughout, and a feeling as warm and inviting as sinking into a hot bath. The music set a tone of total serenity and bliss. As an ode to the season, white lights and traditional Christmas decor, complete with a decorated tree, filled the space. It was an atmosphere that beckoned you inside, to shut out the hectic world, and simply, for a moment, be absolutely, truly, deeply, happy. I had entered the singular, enchanting setting of Laurentide Winery.

Winter Whiteout

It’s wintertime in northern Michigan wine country, and though you might be fooled into thinking that the wine scene hibernates for the season, au contraire! By Erin Rose | Libation Lover While the vines keep warm under freshly fallen snow, things stay pretty toasty in the tasting rooms as well, where the sights and sounds of pouring Cabernet Francs, Pinot Noirs, and whites - yes, whites, abound. If you pine for those refreshing summer wines in the winter season, whites from along the Traverse Wine Coast are totally drinkable in winter time - and not just oaky chardonnays. Here’s what to try this winter season while you’re out and about exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the surrounding Leelanau Peninsula:
